Children’s Liturgy is held during the Liturgy of the Word at 11am Sunday Mass during term time. The children go out into the Meeting Room to pray, hear and reflect on the Gospel and take part in related activities, crafts etc. They rejoin the congregation at the Offertory. Any young children at Mass can come into the sessions (with an accompanying adult, if very young).
A number of older children (post-Confirmation) act as co-leaders. This enables them to help the younger children and to deepen their own faith at the same time.
At various times of the year the group arranges special events to bring families together to celebrate e.g. Family picnic, Christingle or Crib Service.
New adult helpers are always welcome: helpers have occasional planning meetings and are required to undertake a DBS check.
